Day 1:  Addis to Mekele then drive to Artaele

 This Morning we will fly Addis to Mekelle where we will began our drive to the Afar region then  Ertaele  .on the way enjoy the land scape over the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley system to the western highland. Overnight camping. Comping at Ertaele

Literally translated as “the mountain that smokes”, Ertale is a breathtaking occurrence in the middle of the desert; the best time to visit the Ertale is at dawn, just to avoid excessive heat, the walk from the nearby village to the volcano may take 3 hours. Upon arrival the edge of the crater opens an exciting spectacle. Several craters emit fumes, a sign of massive volcanic activity. From the edge one can explore the crater where there are multicolored formations of lava and ash. It is especially impressive in the evening because of the bubbling lava that is only visible at night. This is one of the 3 volcanoes in the world that is constantly active.

Day 2:A Ertaele  Ahmedila

Dallol:Specifically located in the Danakil Depression in a remote area subject to the highest average temperatures on the planet, it is one of the most amazing sites to be seen on the planet. The effervescent colors and the surreal formations make Dallol other-worldly. The volcano encompasses Dallol Mountain and several other features in the vicinity, such as the crater near the “Black Mountain”. One of the most commendable stops in Ethiopia for the adventure traveler.

Day 3: Ahmedila- visit Dallol then drive to mekelle

Morning, Drive further to Dallol Cobber Sink; the lowest spot on earth’s surface not covered by water (-116 below sea level) enjoy the spectacular view and small hill, which is colorful by hot spring and sulfur in several places. In the afternoon drive from Ahemedila to Lake Asele and visit the thousands of camel caravan and the rock salt mining after visit drive back to Abala. Day 4: drive Mekelle to Lalibela-

 Day 5: visit Lalibela rockhewn churches

Gondar has been called Africa’s Camelot with its series of castles and churches. It is Ethiopia’s capital from 1636 to 1667. Most have survived the ravage of time and constitute one of Ethiopia’s most fascinating antiquities. Our exploration will cover Debre Birhan Sellassie or “Trinity at the mount of Light”, the Royal Enclosure with the palace of Emperor Fasilidas.

Day 7: excursion to the Semien mountains

The Semien mountains with outstanding views of the gorge and mountain range and it is easy to understand why the striking formations have been described as ‘the chess pieces of the Gods’.  This day there is a good chance of seeing the indigenous Gelada, also known as the ‘bleeding heart’ baboon or Lion monkey. The Gelada is in fact neither baboon nor monkey but the last remaining species of a branch of high altitude, grass eating primates that have all but vanished. Walking near small settlements and villages we have fine views across the lowlands and the Simien plateau. En route we see a stunning waterfall; cascading through a hole in the rock, it falls 500 meters to the bottom of the gorge and is particularly impressive after the rainy season.

Day8: fly back to Addis and depart home

Morning, drive to Gonder transfer in to airport to fly back to Addis Ababa. .in the evening Have a farewell dinner at one of the best traditional restaurants of Addis Ababa where you can taste the variety of Ethiopian meals, and see the folkloric dances of the Ethiopians.

Then, be transferred to the airport for your departure
